This workshop is an exploration of watercolor, mixed media/collage, painting with natural pigments, mark making with India ink and other simple materials to develop your unique voice - all while taking a deep dive into the art, culture, and real ancestral traditions of Oaxaca, plus exploring a historic barrio in Puebla. First, a week-long deep dive into the art and culture of magical Oaxaca, with its soulful art scene, indigenous culture, and rich culinary and artisanal traditions. We'll visit ancient ruins and artisan villages for weaving, papermaking, and red clay. Then, a weekend escape to Puebla for a vintage ephemera hunt in a picturesque alley, and collage sessions with our treasures in a beautiful 18th century hotel in the heart of the old city center.




Join us at the enchanting private country estate of renowned textile and interior designer Kathryn Ireland for an inspired time of blissful stitching. The 8-day September session is led by respected contemporary embroidery artist Audrey Demarre. All skill levels are welcome! You only need to be ready to lose yourself in a timeless, relaxing environment where you will be catered to by French chefs, a quintessential country home and lush French countryside. Enjoy visits to brocantes and dreamy terrace cafés. Be prepared to luxuriate in time spent free from deadlines and impending schedules. Please join us and treat yourself!




Do you need to feed your creative soul? Fill it to the brim with creative transformation and fresh inspiration with Oaxacan painter Pedro Cruz Pacheco and Corrie McCluskey. Our workshops are different: we mix classes in watercolor natural pigments and mixed media/collage with carefully curated field trips where we meet master artists and artisans in their studios. Get out of your comfort zone, let go of self-doubt and the need to be perfect in your art - we will guide you. Many visitors never make it past the tourist center, but we will go to the heart and soul of this magical place - private studios kitchens streets and markets. Take a deep dive into the art culture and real ancestral traditions of Oaxaca.




Anne Hebebrand is a passionate and experienced teacher who brings decades of experience in painting, art history and pedagogy to her dynamic workshops. She has taught at the college and high school levels, as well as in museum settings, and for the past seven years has led abstract painting workshops in Maine and Mexico, focusing on oil and cold wax techniques. Hebebrand creates an inspiring environment where students build skills and discover their unique artistic voice. She is deeply committed to guiding others on their creative paths. Hebebrand holds a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University. She is represented by Carver Hill Gallery and Cynthia Winings Gallery; both located in Maine.




Paper arts workshop focuses on mask making with barro papel (clay paper) and mixed media/collage incorporating paper ephemera. You'll handcraft a barro papel mask - a blend of paper pulp, clay, and glue. Then, visual storytelling with mixed media collage, plus mark making experimentation to develop your unique visual voice when playing with handmade brushes and India ink. Create a simple artist book using exquisite handmade paper crafted by a master Oaxacan papermaker. Field trips include studio visits with a master weaving family and papermaker, a women's red clay collective, guided street art tour, visit to a famous art center housed in a renovated textile factory, plus the renowned ancient tree of Tule - a mix of cultural immersion and creative playtime.



Join us in the Cotswolds for an unforgettable artistic retreat filled with inspiration and natural beauty. We'll explore exquisite gardens and historic villages known for honey-colored stone cottages and timeless charm-ideal settings for botanical drawing and plein air painting. Stay at the 14th-century Charingworth Manor in Chipping Campden, set on 54 picturesque acres. May 26-31, 2026, botanical artist Pauline Teunissen will lead hands-on lessons to help capture the region's floral richness; or May 31-June 7, 2026, plein air painter Robert Masla will guide you through storybook villages, blooming gardens, and winding streams. Discover the artistic legacy of the Arts & Crafts movement and create lasting work inspired by this magical setting.




Need to feed your creative soul? Fill it to the brim with creative transformation and fresh inspiration. We'll mix art classes - watercolor, natural pigments, mixed media/collage and mask painting - with carefully curated field trips in magical Oaxaca. Experience the hauntingly beautiful, raucous celebration of Carnaval in the Zapotec pueblo of San Martín Tilcajete, where deeply rooted local culture and ancestral traditions are still practiced. We'll see La Danza de Los Diablitos (Dance of the Devils), a Sunday market, studio visits to master alebrije & weaving families & papermaking studio, art center housed in a renovated textile factory, and a guided street art walk in a hip barrio - all mixed in with art instruction and creative play time.



Kristy Kutch has been creating colored pencil art for almost thirty years and has been teaching colored pencil workshops since 1991. A teacher with a life license, she applies many basic learning principles to her workshops, enthusiastically meeting each student at the appropriate level. Beginners are always welcome, but even advanced artists benefit from Kristy's instruction. Offering demonstrations of techniques and the characteristics of different types of colored pencils, papers, and other related materials, Kristy covers a wide range of possibilities. Kristy is the author of Drawing and Painting with Colored Pencil and The New Colored Pencil. She is also the feature artist in the Artist Palette Productions DVD "Colored Pencil Landscapes: Beyond The Basics". Kristy's workshops are held nationwide; each is an enjoyable, supportive, memorable experience in a beautiful location.
