Hello and good evening! Hope everyone is enjoying their or have already enjoyed Saturday so far. We are starting this evening with the weekend update for a conference. A literary conference that is. The Chesapeake Writers' Conference. It is short notice, but I wanted to give you a heads up for this conference, if they have it again next year.
Here is a short letter from the director, Crystal Oliver.

The twelfth annual Chesapeake Writers’ Conference will be held from June 22 to June 28 on the St. Mary’s College campus in St. Mary’s City, Maryland. The Conference features daily Poetry, Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, and Youth Workshops (the latter for high school-age writers) and a dynamic schedule of lectures, craft talks, readings, and panel discussions. The faculty includes poet Heather Green, fiction writer Jerry Gabriel, fiction writer Matt Burgess, creative nonfiction writer Angela Pelster, and Robin McCullough to lead the Youth Workshop. There is no application fee. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; registration is ongoing on a first-come, first-served basis until we reach capacity. See the Fees & Registration page for more information.
We hope you’ll join us for words, water, and woods this summer.
Write on the river,
Crystal Oliver
